Why the need for this blog, you say? An open diary, I suppose, is the best explanation. The trials and tribulations of my family. A place for me to laugh, cry, vent, and sigh. So let's get to know us.
Myself. A 25 year old mother of(currently) one beautiful two year old daughter. I'm stubborn, sarcastic, a bit of a dreamer, and usually(ha!) pretty level headed. I love reading, cooking, photography, long walks on the beach... Lol, just kidding. No, really.
The husband, 'J'. A salesman by nature and by trade. He's loving and sensitive, though doesn't know how to show it sometimes. He's competitive and stubborn as well, so we butt heads constantly. Hey, it keeps things interesting(and frustrating!). He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and to date is THE biggest UT Football fan I've ever met, a fact that I bitch, moan and gripe about every bloomin' chance I get.
Caitlin. I know every parent is biased, but this child is so inquisitive and intelligent. She's got such a sweet nature about her, and she's so loving. It makes you want to just eat her up. And then there's her 'other side'. We are perilously entering the Terrible Twos which makes me want to retract my previous statement and wish that I did just eat her up. Stubborn, willful, 'her way or no way'. Those are just a few descriptive words. Her favorite word is 'No', it makes me cringe even. This too shall pass. I pray.
The mutt. We have a very spastic 1 year old Great Dane named Keeper. Yeah, I'm a smart cookie. I have a two year old and a Great Dane puppy under the same roof. Go me. Fortunately for me, Keeper is smart, lazy, and generally well behaved. However, I've been unable to effectively curb his countersurfing abilities, so that the things my daughter can't get a hold of... my dog can. Joy. I swear to you these two are in cahoots with each other.
Well, there's a somewhat brief overview of my nutty household. If you came to my blog out of boredom and would like to laugh a bit, this is definitely the place for you. Or if you would like to steal the occasional cooking recipe, go for it. I admit that this is my first and probably last blog, haha, so bear with me just a bit while I get things settled. Welcome to my train wreck!
